How WFL Operates
Tourist or foreign student visits our website and first completes a registration form and sends it back to Worldwide Family Link (WFL). WFL acknowledges receipt of the registration form and instructs tourist or student to fill an application form (anytime he or she is ready for a visit to Ghana) to be sent to our e-mail address.
To save time, the visitor can choose to send both the registration and application forms together through our e-mail address. The registration, placement and lodging fees will be paid together when the visitor arrives in Ghana.
Based on the tourist’s or foreign student's preferences shown in the application, WFL picks a host family from its registered list for the visitor and gives a response to him or her to state the date of arrival to Ghana.
The student or tourist arranges for a Visa through Ghana's Embassy or High Commission in his or her country of origin. He states his mission for visiting Ghana emphasising that his accommodation arrangements are being handled by WFL which facilitates home stay lodging and practical working attachments for foreign students visiting Ghana. The tourist or foreign student then confirms his or her departure and arrival dates to Ghana to enable WFL start making prior arrangements with the host Ghanaian family.
On arrival in Ghana, the tourist or foreign student is picked by WFL officials most especially at the Kotoka International airport, and after initial formalities at a transit guest home, he or she is finally taken to the host family’s home for a special Ghanaian welcome.
During the visitor's stay in Ghana, WFL keeps regular contact with him or her to ensure that the visitor is comfortable and happy with the host family. Final arrangements are made by WFL and the host family for the visitor's final departure back home at the end of his or her visit to Ghana.
